Gunpowder Falls State Park is an 18,000-acre (72.84 km2) park in northwestern Baltimore County and eastern Harford County, Maryland. It is primarily made up of the stream valleys of the Big and Little Gunpowder Falls and the Gunpowder River, and boasts over 100 miles of trails. All areas of the park are convenient to the Baltimore Metropolitan Area and are near exits of I-83, I-695, and I-95. The mostly linear park's natural features range from tidal marshes and wetlands to steep, rugged slopes.

The Mill Pond Cottage, situated in the Hereford Wildlands, is a unique lodging opportunity in Gunpowder Falls State Park. The private cottage is reservable year round and offers convenient access to park activities.
Located on Dundee Creek, near the mouth of the Gunpowder River, Dundee Creek Marina offers a number of boating services including slip lease and a marina store open March through October.
